"How old is your daughter?"
"15 months"
This response always frustrated me. Why not say she is 1? I didn't understand why moms said ages in months. It's not like I say I am 358 months old. At what age do we move from months to years?
Now that I'm pregnant, each week number means a lot to me. Wow, 12 weeks. That was huge. 16 weeks sounds even better. Word is spreading among the students and more of them are saying congratulations and asking questions. Of course, the top two are when are you due and what are you having. I automatically say ____ weeks since every week is so important to me. Most students respond, "how many months is that?" Ok, so the tables have turned. Teenagers want months, not weeks. Can I remind you that I teach MATH. Hearing my students struggle with dividing 16/4 makes me cringe. I teach PreCALCULUS to these girls. Sigh.
I have been so consumed with making it to the next week, that I haven't realized I am 4 months pregnant. I'm not sure whether 16 weeks or 4 months sounds better. My pants are definitely getting snug. Co-workers and students comment they see a baby belly. I don't see the cute baby belly yet- more like a thicker waistline or some muffin top when I have on non expandable pants.

The only thing cuter than this post title is that teeny tiny little belly. Your adorableness knows no bounds. :)
I describe pregnancy in weeks to other moms and use months for everyone else.
As for the age of children, I use months up to 20. The difference between a 13-month-old and an 18-month old is tremendous, so it feels wrong to say "one" for both. But after 20 months, I think you can stick to "almost two" or "just turned three" or whatever.
Yep - now you look pregnant! My baby having a baby - makes me feel "young". All that date/age stuff - so what! Do what you want..let others figure it out.
You look pregnant for you but thats just how chubby I am : ) You are just going to have a cute beach ball I believe...
yep - definitely have a cute little baby belly! and yes i agree with jessie - you are going to have a cute beach ball - won't even be able to tell you are pregnant from the back!
it is crazy about the whole weeks, months, years thing - i will probably used months up until 2 years.... it's funny i just got an email about my little man from one of those baby websites and it said "your 41 week old baby" i was like - wow - we are past the week stage - it's months!
