It feels like the only thing I can control right now is to put Parker in his crate and get a break for how ever long I need.
Until today.
After returning home from our big outing to the dry cleanings, bank, and Bible Study today, Evie walked right over to Parker's crate and let him out. She has let him out before when I only lock the top lock. I locked both this time. There was no stopping her. Parker out....
..... And Evie in
She crawled right on in and shut the door behind her
Parker is thinking "WTF?! I have officially lost my final stronghold in this place"
After nap, Evie introduced baby to her new home
Now I listen to Evie slamming open the door. Our poor walls...
I might not have a place to contain Parker, but I have a new play house for Evie!

Ha, ha! That's a funny one!
You're doing a great job! Hang in there...all this newborn craziness is just a season. You looked great today- even your hair was done. And it was still morning! You're an accomplished mamma for sure :)
Haha! Love baby Stella - Alex enjoys feeding her while I feed Logan :)
Poor Parker! He's a good big brother to put up with that abuse! Pets and children are such an awesome combination.
Nick recently pointed out that Mattie seems to prefer Kate over Ella. Ella ADORES Mattie and has always been wonderful with her, but Mattie is unimpressed. I think Mattie sees Ella as the person who ruined her life and demoted her to actual pet status. No matter how nice she is, the resentment is strong. By the time Kate came along, Mattie had adjusted to her demotion and consequently Kate is no threat to her.
