Well, not quite 11th hour. The cake was done by 10:30 PM.
Lisa hooked us up with all the supplies. Jason did the rest. I took pictures

We ran out of red dye, so Elmo was a dark, hot pink. I would buy chocolate icing to color red next time. We also didn't have black dye, so Elmo's mouth and eyes are brown. Luckily Elmo is very recognizable whether he is hot pink or red.
One home made cake done. Many more to come!

Great job, Jason! It totally looks like Elmo. Cole saw the photo and yelled "Elmo!" instantly :) Both kiddies here devoured their slice of it.
