Family Art Night

While I like the idea of having a Thanksgiving program at preschool, I am relieved MDOW does not have a program like last year.  My children do not come across as outgoing performers (at least yet).  Creating a special craft together is much more our speed.

Tonight from 6-7:30 PM families visited our preschooler's classroom to complete an art project together.   Since we have two kiddos there, we were able to visit TWO different classrooms.

Project 1: Mason jars covered with tissue paper with a candle inside.

Evie and Braylen painted the jar with glue while Mommy covered the jar with tissue paper.  Then Daddio put on the final touches.

Project 2: Using our hand prints to create a Christmas tree

Let's hear it for messy projects in a controlled environment.  Zero paint on any clothes.  Is the anti-messy hands gene a thing?  If so, our kids have it strong from us.  Score.

Bear Room project

And have no fear, the kids did plenty of turkey related crafts all month.  These two are preschool classics.  It kind of cracks me up that Braylen's is three times bigger than Evie's :)

Onto Lancaster tomorrow for Thanksgiving craziness with my family!
