6 week ultrasound

We went for our first ultrasound this morning. Even though I tried to prepare Jason for the set up, he still was a little bothered by the table/chair and stirrups. Honey, it's going to get much worse I'm afraid :)

I haven't had any symptoms, or at least anything that seems largely different than my normal feelings. We were both very anxious going into this appointment. Even though I was the first appointment for the doctor, he made us wait 5-10 minutes before he walked in.

The doctor and tech warned us it might take a minute or two to figure out what they were seeing. It felt like 5 minutes when I'm sure it was only 30 seconds. They kept saying something about a shadow. I saw something pulsing, so I knew we were OK. Jason, on the other hand, was probably breaking a sweat over the whole ordeal. The doctor then told us everything looked great. Of which my husband replies, "sh__!" in relief. Lovely J... nice touch. We need to work on swear words in stressful situations or everyone will get an earful in the delivery room.

I am so happy we have pictures of our little "zygote", as we will like to call it right now. I have a little more proof that this is really happening. We go back in 2 more weeks for another ultrasound. Apparently we will see a gummy bear.

School is over (except I'm teaching super stupendous summer math camp next week), I got paid "millions" for tutoring, Rita's had fudge brownie, AND there is something alive in me. Today was a GREAT day!
