It's interesting how people interact. You can predict the way certain people will great you. Either "hi, how are you?" or "what's new?" Our responses are usually the same. When you tell people you are engaged or they notice your ring, the first question is "when are you getting married". I'm expecting to hear two big questions over the next 9 months:
1.) When are you due?
2.) What are you having?
Answer to 1.) January 30, 2011.
Comments: For those of you who know me well know that my 30th (sigh) birthday is January 29, 2011. I always thought my mom was so old because she didn't have me until she was 30 (I'm the youngest). I never thought I would be starting at 30... I'd be happy if the baby arrived early so I could be a young 29 when I had him/her. However, I'm not OK sharing my birthday. I was hoping for some big trip to celebrate my 30th. An overnight in the hospital is not what I had in mind.
The end of January/beginning of February is a big birthday time in my family. All 4 of my grandparents, my mom, aunt, and I all have birthdays within 3 weeks. It's fun to have a huge party and list all 7 names as we sing happy birthday. The Little H-Camp will fit in nicely. We lost one member of our Jan/Feb club this year, my Poppop. My prediction is I will have the baby on his birthday, February 1st. It's a gut feeling I've had since we "tried" this time.
Answer to 2.) NOT FINDING OUT!!
Comment: I am organized and like to prepare; however, I figure out EVERYTHING. It's very rare I am surprised these days. This is one surprise I can't figure out and plan to embrace this opportunity. Personally, I think it's so exciting to get a phone call, email, or text when a new baby is born and find out for the first time if it's a boy or girl. It's going to drive me nuts registering not knowing what we are having, but I'll survive. We plan to paint the nursery very neutral. This isn't our forever house, so we're cool with a neutral room for now.
There you go! Can't wait to have everyone predict what I'm having by the way I look :)

I love the blog, Mommy-to-be! I'm so excited to be an auntie! I'm so excited for Hannah to have a cousin (besides Parker, of course).
6/16/10- I predict a boy, but I reserve the right to change my mind later on...
