The bars on her crib allow ample opportunities to practice this skill. She quickly figured out how to hold on and pull herself up.
The mattress got lowered shortly after such event.
We unfortunately don't have sufficient furniture (we got rid of of our coffee table to make room for crawling and playing) nor toys for pulling up. Evie has to get creative right now- like using her dresser knobs, laundry basket, and baskets in general. We'll be making a trip to the consignment shop this weekend to look for new toys!
Other new tricks this week:
Crawling up the step from the living room to the dining room at Auntie Laura's house.
Balancing herself on her knees for a few seconds
Using more P sounds
Putting herself to sleep when I put her down awake for naps and bed (Yes, new parent here spending too much time rocking her to sleep. I'm trying to break this bad habit of mine)

Old tricks revisited this week:
Sleeping 12 hours straight for the past 4 nights :) You can all cancel your Amazon orders of books about sleep training. My baby knows how to sleep- she obviously had something bothering her. What, I don't know. She hasn't mastered talking yet.

GO EVIE!
love and miss you!!
Amazing how hard times with kids slip into memory and the great stuff remains. I used to feel frustrated before talking because I knew I'd never really know what "it" was... It's not like when they're 5 years old you can ask, "Remember that time int he Giant Food? What WAS that about???"
I continue to enjoy the blog...
