Park With A View

I can't stress enough how amazing the weather has been this summer for typically hot and humid Baltimore.  Most of the days it was 90 something we were enjoying perfect 80 degree weather in OCNJ.  Needless to say, the kids and I have been outside a lot this summer.

This week we tried out two new playgrounds with friends.  Both Cedar Lane West and Federal Hill Park were winners!  I was too busy keeping Braylen out of the mud and from getting hurt at Cedar Lane that I have zero pictures.  So I'll blog about our fun morning at Fed Hill Park today.

We piled in Liz's van again for yet another adventure.  This morning was probably our best morning of play together ever.  Low humidity, cloudy sky, a fenced in play area, and swings kept all 6 of us emotionally cool :)

Federal Hill Park has a playground with a play structure modeled like a pirate ship.  Once the kids climb to the top of the "ship" they can ride this pole thing down.  Our kids were a little too small to do that, so Liz and I had to hoist it up with all our mommy strength to get the same effect.

The smile on Bray tells the story

Liz picked us up at 8:40 AM so we were at the playground by 9:15 AM.  Why not when you have been up since 6 something?  We had the place all to ourselves for the first hour; that's how we like it!  Once the playground filled up, we spent most of our time on the swings

The "bigs" going to the moon

Braylen demands Liz when we are together.
Look how happy she makes him :)

We had a picnic snack and let the kids run after squirrels and birds.  I loved a fenced in area for them to play in!  The view from this park on a steep hill is just gorgeous of the Inner Harbor.

These two are becoming best buds

Taking in the view while fearing our children
will tumble down the steep, steep hill inches from
where they are sitting.  I kept Bray in the stroller.

We relocated to a different side of the park with less steep hills for the kids to roll down.  Jack is a little explorer and I love how he rubs off on Evie when we are together.  I am still feeling warm and fuzzy inside from our fun morning with our buds.  It's mornings like these that I am so thankful to be home with my kids and have met moms going through the same season as me.

Such a fun (and stress-free!) morning! Extra car seat is still in the van- lets do it again next week!! ;-)
