Braylen the Builder

Braylen is turning two tomorrow!  It's time to celebrate!  Since Braylen requests "Bob Builder" often, I made the theme of Braylen's 2nd birthday party construction.  I asked guests to dress as construction workers; the grandparents went all out!

Daddio constructed a cake for the occasion

Braylen's two cousins and two friends demolished the "construction site".

Braylen was enthusiastic about all his gifts; he was eager to open them and tell us what he got.  I loved watching his eyes light up with each gift.  He was excited by all of them except clothes.

A big fire truck that makes sounds

A tool bench

"Good night, good night Construction Site"

"Bob Builder!!"

He was thrilled with all the new books he received
(Mommy is doing a great job emphasizing books over stuffed animals)

While the site coordinators and workers were building the tool bench...

Good thing Daddio had a hard hat for that operation

Don't mess with the big sis

Getting to work

... Ms. Liz read the little ones some of Bray's new books

Bray would take Ms. Liz snuggles all day long

After some building with Bray's new Duplo Legos and balloon battles...

Best $1.99 spent

... it was time for cake!

Braylen smiles through "Happy Birthday"

Caught his droll just in time

"Who wants ice cream?!"

Parties at my house are always a blur to me.  I am pretty sure the kids had fun and got along.  Most of the brunch food was consumed.  All good signs of a successful party.  I am so thankful for the loving family and friends Braylen has.  He's one lucky (almost) two year old!

I love my boys

Too cute for words

The obligatory family birthday shot.

Now that the party is over, it's time to decorate for Christmas!
