11 Months

Evie is one month shy of changing her age from 0 to 1!

New tricks this month:

Shaking her head from side to side.  I don't think she is saying "no"... yet

Moving from sitting to standing without any support.  I will leave her in the middle of the floor and she will use her leg strength to stand for a few seconds.  She is becoming more adventurous with letting go of her toys as well.

Her most recent trick is walking behind her walking toys.  Her legs are straight when she walks- she looks like she has braces on her legs.  She does not want to walk with me holding her arms.  This girl wants to do everything on her own.

At this point Evie's 2 bottom teeth have made an appearance.  Slow and steady...  She lets us brush her teeth and gums at night.  This is huge for someone that didn't let ANYTHING near her mouth for weeks.

Evie's feeding schedule is about the same- still 4 bottles a day, meals with the family, and 1 or 2 extra snacks.  She has given up purees and prefers to eat what we are having.  Meatballs and pasta are her favorites.  I'm glad to see she has some Italian blood in her :)

I have flashbacks to her earlier months and can't believe she is the same child.  Did she really have a feeding tube for weeks?  She has never caught up on her weight, but she's still growing enough at each weigh in.  I'm so over percentiles at this point.  I don't care, so if you are obsessed with that stuff- go search yourself.  Evie is about 17 lbs, 11 oz.

Evie is so expressive and fun to watch.  I'm sad I didn't take any videos of her at this age.  Pictures don't capture her cuteness.

We had a fun month with her cousins and some of her 2011 birth crew.

NO WAY Evie is almost ONE! That is unbelievable. They grow up so fast! (Sniff sniff.)

P.S. E is bigger than either of my girls at that age. A few days after their first birthdays, Ella was 17lbs 8oz and Kate was 17lbs 10oz.
