Initiation to Parenthood Continues

There are many things all parents are lucky enough to experience.  Wonderful things like snuggling with a newborn or seeing your child smile when you walk in the room.  And not so wonderful things like cleaning up all kind of bodily functions.

Jason and I still vividly remember cleaning up Hannah's projectile baby poop in Laura's dining room when she was a few months old.  Evie's newborn blowouts were fun, memorable times as well.  There was one day at KKI when we changed her outfit 4 times.  Evie threw up a few times in her early months, but never in the car.

Oh yeah, nothing like yak in the car on a nice warm day to smell up the joint.

Jason was down for the count on Monday with the stomach bug.  I thought Evie and I escaped it until I heard her cough with a little extra force on our drive to Auntie Laura's for lunch.  Then the peach yogurt smell took over the car.  I promptly pulled over to assess the damage.  My poor baby had barf all over her car seat and herself.  Miraculously, she was not crying or bothered by it.  I, of course, got on the phone to Jason and Laura like they could help me.

Luckily the next time she puked was on her way into the tub.  I survived my first upchuck in the car incident.  (Do you like how many synonyms I'm trying to use?)

The stomach bug took another victim.  I'm next...

I can remember nights when we all just gave up on sheets and slept on towels. Ah- the joys....

Yuck! I hope the bug was short-lived and you all are feeling better!
