Pink Cadillac

I LOVED not knowing the gender of our baby.  I would do it again without thinking twice.  But that means Evie has a lot of neutral stuff.  One of the nurses at KKI commented about all the green stuff we had for Evie.  She figured we didn't know what we were having by her "midori" bucket seat, her teal bumbo, and my lime green diaper bag.  When we started thinking about moving Evie to a big girl car seat, I was ready for some girlie-ness.  We ordered the one that she can use until she is 70 pounds.  I think it will be hers for a LONG time.

As an early birthday present, we got Evie the Cadillac of car seats.  If I weighed 70 pounds, I'd cruise in that puppy.  My favorite feature is the sliding seat belt thing-a-ma-gig.  For any parent that has put straps in and out of a car seat will know why this is glorious.

Good-bye baby bucket seat, hello big girl car seat!

Someone is excited about her early birthday present

Still rear-facing... and not upset about that

Yes, I climbed in the truck to get this shot.  She has lots of
room to grow into this one

Snot, spit-up, and puke free... for now

"Uh mom, the neighbor walking his dog thinks you are crazy"

Our first long trip is this weekend.  Normally Evie sleeps on long trips.  We'll see if her pink Cadillac induces sleep like her last car seat.
