4 Months

Braylen is 4 months old!

As usual, his well appointment isn't for another 2 weeks....

By my measurements, which I don't think are any less accurate than the way they put two marks on the paper and measure in between, he is about 24.5 inches and a solid 15 lbs plus.  He weighed in at 15.3 lbs last Saturday with a dry diaper and clothes.  My baby boy is growing at a rate of about 1/2 pound a week.  I mean, look at the chunk!  I don't think Evie's thighs will ever be that big!

Sexy legs Braylen (and Daddy)
He is fitting nicely into 6 months clothes.  I think we will have to move to size 3 diapers very soon.  Evie is STILL in size 3's.  At least it will cut down on packing my diaper bag!

4 months
We started putting Braylen in the Bumbo seat this month.  At first he lasted about 2 minutes.  Now he will sit in it while I prepare a meal or we snarf down eat a meal.  It is slowly getting easier to do a few more tasks without him beckoning me to hold him.

Breaking every rule possible- on an elevated surface, no buckle, unattended...
Braylen is grabbing at toys and starting to "rake" at his toys while on his tummy.

He puts his whole fist in his mouth.  He is drooling and gagging himself.  In the last few days he has been putting toys in his mouth.  4 months... teething???  Haha, we will be saying that or hearing that comment for the next 20 months.  I cannot wait!

The weather in Maryland has been crazy this Spring.  I washed sweaters and shorts in the same load of laundry last week.  Braylen looked pretty cute in his first Spring outfit.  It felt more like summer with the near 90 degree temperatures!

Braylen smiles, laughs, and "talks" to us.  Sometimes I can't tell if he is mad or just "talking".  He definitely doesn't get his social skills from his father (love you, Boo :) )

Talking with Poppop

I wish I could say he was sleeping better... I haven't slept longer than 4 hours for 4 months.  I think Evie is our bad eater and Braylen is our bad sleeper.

To end on a happy note- Evie runs into Braylen's room every night and blows him a kiss good-night.  She is also saying his name now instead of "brother"
