Silver Lining

We might have found our silver lining- with hurricane Irene coming up the coast, we can't ask for Evie to be in a more safer place than a hospital! We can leave our cars protected from trees in the garage, keep my milk cold in the refrigerator there, and know that Evie will continue to eat come hell or high water, literally.

Two words- backup generators.

If our power goes out at home for days, we can live at KKI with Evie! Except only one parent can spend the night...

Evie sucked on a bottle for the first time today in weeks! She took 25 mls from it (her feed through the tube is 85ml). She took it from me and there were no therapists around. Don't tell me I don't know my daughter, people! Baby steps. She proved to us today that she has the ability to suck on a bottle. I cried tears of joy.
