When your world is upside down, things like coming home to electricity is a big thing. After 30 hours of no power due to Irene, we are back up and running. I warned our neighbors ahead of the storm that we were most likely going to lose power; why wouldn't we?! That's our life these days...
A huge thanks to Kevin for bringing us his manly generator at 8:30 PM last night to save all Evie's milk in our freezer. All we could offer him was my mom's chocolate chip cookies. Through this horrible situation we've learned about faithful friends. While I hope no one ever goes through this, I hope to return the millions of favors everyone has done for us.
Evie had a GREAT day (and therefore so did her mommy). Evie took milk from a bottle TWO times today! First time about 1 oz and the next time 1.5 oz. That means she has sucked from a bottle two days in a row. Progress!
Evie also continues to gain weight. She has her sights set on 11 pounds.
Thank you for your continued prayers and encouraging messages. We will need both for a long time
